Fettes is one of the few remaining full boarding schools with over 70% full boarders. With an extensive co-curricular programme of activities and events, every day at Fettes is buzzing.  Proud of its long history with HM Forces, Fettes has a number of former members of the Forces on its staff, and a strong network of current Forces Families, enabling the school to provide the highest quality of pastoral support and stability. In recognition of the service Forces Families provide, Fettes has become a 10% school, making the fees for HM Forces families equal to the CEA allowance plus 10% of the total fees inclusive of VAT.

Many Forces Families choose to send their children to Fettes, and as a co-educational full boarding school, siblings can be educated together, allowing them to board at the same school. Fettes does not offer flexi or weekly boarding but there is flexibility. Housed in a stunning turreted building on a 100-acre woodland campus close to the heart of Edinburgh, students benefit from all the advantages of a city school with the privacy and space of a rural setting.

Recognised for an ‘Outstanding Curriculum’ (Education Scotland), Fettes is proud of its sector leading, all-round education and academic excellence in GCSE and is the only school in Scotland to offer the dual pathway of A Level and the IB in Sixth Form.
